Kitchen
-
The kitchen is equipped with cooking essentials: pots, pans, mixing bowls, utensils, plates, etc. Please wash all dishes after each use and before your checkout time to avoid reductions in your security deposit.
-
We provide a one time set up of hand soap, dish soap, paper towels and a sponge. If you run out of any of these items, you can find more at any of the grocery stores in town.
-
Please do not rinse food or grease down the drain in the sink, clean all food into trash can before washing dishes.
-
Please do not use metal utensils or tools on the pots and pans, they will scratch the nonstick surface and ruin the pans. There is a wide variety of silicone and plastic cooking utensils for your use.
-
Food should not be left out on counters or tables for an extended period of time as it will attract bugs very quickly in this tropical climate.
-
Puerto Rico has banned the use of single use shopping bags. Reusable bags are available for your use in the storage cabinet. Please return any used bags to the shelf when you are finished so the next guest can use them.
-
There is a grill on the pool deck off the kitchen available for your use. Please clean the grill with provided grill brush after each use.
-
There is a brown out surge protector on the oven that has a 3 minute delay. In the event of a power outage or low power, the oven will turn off and will take 3 minutes before cycling back on.
Bedrooms
As stated in the rental agreement, all air conditioning units are only to be used when the room is occupied, preferably only while sleeping. The rooms cool down very quickly (within about 10 minutes of turning on the air conditioning). DO NOT RUN THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WITH THE BEDROOM DOOR OR WINDOWS OPEN.
Misuse of the AC units including but not limited to running the units while not present in the house or with the bedroom doors or windows open will result in a forfeiture of the damage deposit as stated in the rental agreement.
In case of a power outage please DO NOT use the air conditioning units. The generator has a limited power supply and cannot power the refrigeration, lights & A/C units. Usage of air conditioning units during a power outage will result in a forfeiture of your security deposit.
Bathroom
-
Please hang all wet towels on the mounted towel racks or drying racks in the bedrooms.
-
Do not flush anything other than toilet paper, the plumbing system is very delicate and will clog easily.
-
Please do not take bath towels to the pool or beach, beach towels are provided for your use.
-
There is a one time set up of toilet paper and soap provided upon check in, if you need more supplies, they are available at any of the supermarkets in town or the gas station at the top of the hill.

General Info
-
Tres Soles in a non-smoking property.
-
Parking is limited to 2 vehicles during your stay. Please be sure to close the gates at night once you are in the house and no longer driving out.
-
Trash should be taken out to the trash cans on the street side of the main gate as necessary (probably more often than you would at home, thanks again to the tropical climate). Plastic containers and aluminum cans can be recycled. Recycling should be kept in a separate trash bag and taken to the street side of the curb for weekly pickup.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Tres Soles and your time in Puerto Rico. Please keep in mind that the island is still in many ways recovering from Hurricanes Maria and Fiona as well as facing many infrastructure problems. Power, internet and water outages are not uncommon on the island, especially during peak travel times such as holiday weekends. Remember to pack your patience, enjoy the island time and relax!
Thank you for choosing to stay in our home, we hope you enjoy it and care for it as much as we do!
