Rincón Information & Suggestions

Supermarkets

There are two main grocery stores in Rincón, Econo & Edwards FamCoop. Econo is the larger of the two but both have a decent selection of produce, meats and dry goods. Don't forget to grab the reusable bags in the storage pantry before you go, Puerto Rico has banned single use plastic bags so we offer these reusable bags for your use during your stay.

Local Attractions

There are a a variety of beaches in Rincón for swimming, surfing, snorkeling and relaxing.

Check out this link for more info on the beaches:

BEACH INFO

Check out the downtown plaza on Thursday nights for the Rincón Art Walk. There is a large variety of locally crafted artwork and items on display in a festive setting with live music.

Rentals & Lessons

There are multiple beach equipment and surfboard rental businesses around town. For surfboard rentals, we recommend Desecheo Surf Shop or Mar Azul. rd2happiness rentals offers beachside rentals at Sandy Beach & Marias.

There are also multiple surf schools in the area offering lessons including rd2happiness and Rincón Surf School.

Restaurants & Bars

Check out the free magazines provided for your use, El Coqui, for up to date information about the area restaurants. Here are some of our favorites:

  • Casa Isleña: located just down the hill from Tres Soles, Casa Isleña is a great beachside spot for brunch, lunch or dinner. Fresh juice mimosas, salads and fresh fish entrees are all great options. Enjoy the direct ocean front view while dining (and often live music on the weekends!).

  • Tamboo: One of the most famous beachfront bars and open year round. Offering both lunch and dinner as well as a lively bar scene with DJs & live music on their rooftop deck overlooking the ocean.

  • Kahuna Burger @ Casa Verde: A local hotspot for burgers and beer with TVs for sports. A great spot to check out if you're looking for a good night time bar.

  • Red Flamboyan: A great place for Puerto Rican cuisine, offering brunch and dinner.

  • Mi Familias Pizza: Enjoy thin crust brick oven pizza, wings & cold beer while watching your favorite sporting events on their multiple TVs.

  • Ola Sunset Cafe: The best sunset views in town. Watch the surfers at Domes Beach while sipping on a cold beer or freshly made mojito from the cliffs by the lighthouse.

  • The English Rose: The drive up is not for the faint of heart, but totally worth it for the views and delicious breakfast food. Reservations recommended.

  • La Copa Llena: Gorgeous sunset views, delicious craft cocktails and eats. A great place to go for an oceanside date night.

  • Cafe 2 Go: Roadside coffee stand featuring freshly made coffee drinks, smoothies and morning bites.

  • Harbor Restaurant: Located next to the public beach, enjoy Puerto Rican cuisine featuring fresh fish outside by the ocean or in their air conditioned dining room.

  • Roots Restaurant: Vegetable focused entrees and freshly made sushi with craft cocktails.

  • Taste Gastro Bar: Delicious small plates & entrees, craft cocktails and wines, another great spot for a date night.

  • Villa Cofresí: Famous for their pirata drinks (think lots of rum in a giant coconut), sunset views and Puerto Rican eats. No trip to Rincón is complete without a sunset happy hour pirata.

  • Tropical Gourmet: A divey local spot with the best local cuisine around. Try their empanadillas, mofongo or fresh fish.
